Infrastructure safety is becoming an increasingly important topic today, especially in a country like Italy where hydrogeological and seismic risk is high. Thus, tools and equipment which monitor the “health” and safety of bridges, trusses, viaducts, etc. are becoming increasingly indispensable.
Minister Giovannini has recently signed a decree allocating €1.150 billion to cities and provinces to secure their infrastructures, especially in the light of the recent tragic events in Italy. In view of the high demand for this maintenance equipment, Magni designed an attachment allowing to perform this kind of work. Therefore, the TP O-U platform was created. This extendable rotating telescopic platform has a maximum capacity of 200 kg. It is approved to carry two people. Its structure is made of galvanised steel to ensure maximum resistance. The platform floor is covered with non-slip material to ensure maximum stability. Moreover, it is equipped with a special boom position sensor, whose data is then displayed on the touchscreen in the cab. Its 340° rotation is controlled by means of a hydraulic rotating actuator. A remote control is required to operate the platform. Most importantly, this platform allows to work in both positive and negative positions, thus facilitating the access to the supporting structures.
