How to safely remove asbestos?
Asbestos removal is governed by precise regulations which ensure the safety of people and the environment. Thus, Magni has designed and created platforms dedicated to companies specialised in asbestos removal at height. The main features are the following.
Asbestos disposal is a complex issue. The first thing to clarify is that ‘do-it-yourself’ disposal is not a viable option and that the intervention of a specialized company is required.
The Italian law 257/92 prohibits the extraction, processing and marketing of all products, friable or compact, containing asbestos. Inail has recently published two guides on this subject, which can be downloaded from its institutional website.
The design of an asbestos removal platform is part of a stringent legal framework aimed at eliminating this harmful component from our territory. Therefore, Magni has thought of all companies specialised in asbestos removal at height. We created an equipped special platform allowing to work in complete safety. This platform has a maximum load capacity of 1,000 kg. It is approved for two people, as it is composed of two workstations equipped with two anchor points to allow egress at height. Both workstations are equipped with deadman pedal to ensure extreme safety. The floor features non-slip covering. The front part of the platform tilts, doubling the platform’s surface area to offload the removed and encapsulated materials. It is also equipped with overload sensor and anti-shock system which ensures smooth movements at height and prevents jolts.
