Helene Mellquist, President of Volvo Penta, was a guest of Magni TH in Castelfranco Emilia at the end of 2022 to visit the new production facility. We took the opportunity to ask her about her experience and our partnership.

How was your visit at Magni’s headquarters?

It was very inspiring to see true entrepreneurship. How father and son has managed to capture the right timing by increasing capacity, taking high business risk and succeeding – a marvellous feat. We were wonderfully hosted by the Magni team who literally and figuratively went above and beyond; taking us into the sky with their impressive telescopic handlers where many pictures were taken. In true Italian hospitality, we too were treated to the local cuisine while there.

What do you think about the new production plant of Magni?

 I am deeply impressed by how Magni has managed to get such a professional and efficient production in place in such a short span of time. Just as increase in sales took off they were able to go from a green field to  inaugurating new production lines in swift time. They have a brilliant culture in their team to accomplish that. A display of true trust and passion for the business.

Why would you define the relationship between Magni and Volvo Penta a successful partnership?

We believe that partnership is truly the new leadership. By fostering a strong working relationship with our customers, we can grow and learn alongside each other. This is especially important in a time of great change as industries go on their journeys to net-zero emissions. With new sustainable power solutions, our customer’s feedback is key to ensuring our solutions can meet application, business and operational needs while securing uptime and performance!

How would you describe the relationship between Volvo Penta and Magni?

It’s a really transparent and collaborative working relationship. We continue to learn so much from each other with shared engineering, business and marketing intelligence to create power solutions that truly stand out in the field.
