Magni for the upgrade of Mona Vale Road
Excellent performance and great versatility make Magni ranges ideal for the major construction sector. Confirmation also comes from the Australian construction company EKC Construction, which chose Magni for the upgrade of the Mona Vale Road in Sydney.
In November 2018, building and civil construction company Georgiou secured the upgrade of Mona Vale Road East, a vital piece of infrastructure in Sydney’s northern suburbs. This project involves a 3.2 km upgrade, between Manor Road, Ingleside, and Foley Street. The upgrade also includes building additional climbing and descending lanes to improve travel times and the upgrade of the Mona Vale Road/Ponderosa Parade roundabout to a signalised intersection. Construction commenced in February 2019 with expected completion within early 2023.
EKC Construction, Georgiou’s sub-contractor, took part in the project in mid May 2022 and planned to complete their part in a short time (8-10 months), also thanks to the recent purchase of an RTH 7.26 from our local dealer Allift.
The company chose this model with a capacity of 7 tonnes and a lifting height of 26 metres to build and install the formwork panels for the retaining walls on bridge abutments. Moreover, due to its great versatility, the machine is also used for logistical purposes to handle various types of materials within the site.
In order to carry out a wide range of jobs, the machine has in fact been equipped with 3 attachments: a 500 kg platform, a 6 tonne winch and forks for installing the bridge walkways. The platform allows to work at height in complete safety, while winches and forks are used to handle heavy loads with maximum precision.
Offering 3-in-1 machines that can be used as a forklift, crane and platform is one of Magni’s great advantages. Thus, the customer can rely on just one machine to carry out several jobs, reducing equipment costs and increasing productivity. Infact, the wide range of attachments offered and the R.F.ID coupling system allows for quick switching between attachments. Moreover, this system automatically recognises the attachment coupled and shows the corresponding dynamic load chart on the in-cab display. Therefore , the operator can work in complete safety while monitoring the position of the load within the load chart in real time.
