Cinema is a magnificent artifice that requires specific solutions to turn dreams into reality. A world of actors, directors, technicians and partners of excellence such as Magni and OMEC, which have been protagonists on the set of the next Disney film “The First Omen”.
Viterbo, October 2022. Two Magni’s RTHs come onto the scene to support the filming on a Disney movie set. The film, a horror movie called ‘The First Omen‘, is a major international production involving around 450 actors and over 500 extras. Cattleya, the Italian executive producer, chose Piazza del Comune and Porta San Pietro as its main sets.
The models selected are an RTH 5.18 and RTH 6.23 with a lifting height of 18 and 23 metres respectively and a maximum lifting capacity of 5 and 6 tonnes. The machines meet the requirements of the set, allowing some metal structures to be lifted.
The rental company OMEC, in collaboration with Baiocco Noleggio, was commissioned to provide specific lifting solutions to carry out the work. Founded in 1989, OMEC works alongside leading Italian companies within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
With Magni, OMEC confirms and continues a relationship based on trust, esteem and collaboration. With more than 35 years’ experience, it has developed a know-how of excellence about lifting equipment (including Magni telehandlers and aerial platforms) within construction sites and production plants. Today OMEC positions itself in the market as a Solution Provider, integrating equipment and expertise with the ambition of guaranteeing high levels of productivity and safety.
Major construction sites and film sets have several aspects in common. First and foremost they share the presence of personnel and equipment with specific tasks, playing a major role in the achievement of an end goal. In this case, Magni telehandlers and OMEC operators worked together to produce a Disney film that already promises to be a success.
