The importance of working comfortably and in the cool
This small comfort makes operators’ lives easier and more comfortably, especially in summer or in countries with very high temperatures. Magni offers you helpful advice in order not to get any hotter and melt in the cab!
All Magni machines (except the RTH 4.18) are equipped with cab air conditioning. This once again underlines the attention we devote to our operators. A few basic rules need to be followed to ensure that the system works properly and to get the most out of it.
Under the sun, the air temperature inside the cabin can exceed 60 degrees. Trying to lower it with the air conditioning alone takes a long time and puts the system to the test. Therefore, it is advisable to keep the window and door open to reduce the air temperature by just a few degrees using ‘clean’ air.
It is recommended that you turn on the air conditioning even when the outside temperature is not high. On summer mornings, humidity can be very high. Turning the air conditioning on avoids window fogging and ‘dries’ the cab, making it more pleasant to stay on board. Moreover, attention must also be devoted to the air vents that distribute fresh air. These are often pointed in the wrong direction or, worse, are closed because the air that comes out is freezing and annoying.
For optimum conditions, air vents must be fully open and point upwards. Draught can be prevented by adjusting the temperature, which should never be too low. Setting 23, 24 or even 25 degrees allows for an ideal climatic condition, without the need to set a lower temperature. Finally, let’s cover ‘maintenance’, which is too often ignored.
Filters must be cleaned regularly, especially when they are used to their maximum extent. This allows to avoid malfunctions when needed.
