Magni's double solution for panel handling
Handling large panels at height requires maximum precision and control. This is why Magni has created two attachments designed specifically for this application. Let’s discover them in detail!
Flat load handling is an operation that is often performed with a winch or hook by fixing the load with ropes. However, this procedure has several disadvantages including a longer time to prepare the lift as well as higher risk of load failure and uncontrolled handling.
Created in collaboration with EuroTECH, the solution provided by Magni, which will be presented in October 2022 at Bauma, will instead allow to handle flat loads by means of a structure featuring suction cups, ensuring better control and precision during both handling and application and significantly improving productivity and safety.
This solution will enable safe lifting and both horizontal and vertical handling of large-surface loads such as glass, ceramics and metal panels. We will present the ‘eT-Litocran700 vacuum telescopic handler‘ attachment (ATT-08-021), which in its simplest version will only include the ‘Vacuum lifting attachment ‘ (ATT-08-007).
The ‘eT-Litocran700 vacuum telescopic handler’ (ATT-08-021) and the ‘Vacuum lifting attachment’ (ATT-08-007) will feature the same devise with four standard suction cups, offering a capacity of 350 kg. Included in both kits, four additional suction cups will allow to increase load capacity up to 700 kg and to handle larger surface loads. The ‘eT-Litocran700 vacuum telescopic handler’ features a telescopic boom allowing for maximum manoeuvrability in tight spaces and on inclined planes. In fact, the load can be rotated 360° (continuous rotation) and pivoted 90°. The ‘vacuum lifting attachment’ is a simplified version that can be connected through ropes to the hook or winch of the telehandler to perform easier operations on vertical walls.
The ‘eT-Litocran700 vacuum telescopic handler’ (ATT-08-021) must be used with a specific remote control in order to allow the operator to manoeuvre the attachment with maximum precision even in confined spaces. The ‘vacuum lifting attachment’ (ATT-08-007), will feature a practical and compact remote control to activate and deactivate the vacuum function.
These attachments are particularly useful for façade work as they allow to quickly install even hard-to-place elements with minimal staff, maximising efficiency and reducing installation time and costs.
Customers will no longer need to erect scaffolding to install, repair or replace window and façade elements as they are loaded from the ground and lifted to their destination. This becomes even more important when working on jobsites that are not optimal for scaffolding installation. Moreover, these attachments will join the wide range of interchangeable attachments available for Magni telehandlers.
